Stepping Stones is devoted to nourishing the physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth of each child in an enticing environment of self-discovery. We strive to provide our children continuity with familiar activities which help them to build their abilities in each domain. Hands-on activities provide developmentally appropriate pre-reading, pre-math, science and literacy experiences. Social skills are emphasized. We work on ways children can effectively express their own feelings and needs. We provide opportunities to teach them different languages and let them explore and learn from different cultures and try different foods. Life skills and life lessons are implemented in the monthly activities.

We use a creative curriculum as our guide and ECERS as our assessment tool so that we can always observe and see if our setting is appropriate for our class. Each month we provide children with new themes and activities.

STEM activities are being implemented in our monthly activities. Zoo phonics and Learning Without Tears are introduced daily.

We want our children to be ready before they go to Kindergarten, therefore they need to learn how to write, how to read, how to use scissors, how to use words, how to communicate, how to self help, how to work as a team, how to follow directions, and more.

Our Pre-Kindergarten Program contains areas of study that are important for every child during their pre kindergarten years. We introduce the "Handwriting Without Tears" program and the "Zoophonics" program to help the children learn in a natural setting without the worry of being put through a lot of stress to learn and perform tasks. The combined curriculum focus on writing, math, science and social development. Developing critical-thinking skills and stimulating intellectual curiosity ensure your child will successfully and confidently enter kindergarten in the fall. Our program features age appropriate learning environments feature learning centers and are equipped with inviting, developmentally appropriate learning materials.
